The Son of Man came to seek and save that which was lost. It is Jesus' favorite title of Himself. I chosen this title because Jesus loved this title of Himself. We ought to never forget that Jesus is fully God and fully man: two natures in One Person. He is the God-man, the Incarnate Second Person of the Trinity. May we mediate on His life, death, burial, resurrection and ascension that we may be conformed to the image of the divine Son of Man! This blog web site will be a Christian defense of the Reformed doctrines of the Incarnate Son of Man. May all glory be to His name!

No Mere Human Mind Could Invent the Gospel

No human mind could invent the Gospel.  But only the mind of God could create, make and manifest the Gospel of Grace and Peace.  The Gospel is true because God is true.  The Gospel is so free that no man could imagine it.  Only the Gospel of God could be free because God is merciful, kind, tenderhearted, forgiving and loving.  Only the mind of God could make the Gospel manifested in the Holy Bible.  I would say that the Gospel is eternal and everlasting, because the nature of God is eternal.  The Gospel is based on the nature of God; that is, it is based on mercy and justice, and grace and love.  The Cross has justice and mercy, and grace and love.  But we must think on the Cross because God makes Jesus pay for our sins as if He Himself sinned; however, throughout the Cross Jesus remains a sinless Person.  It’s as if He became sin.  The mercy of His righteousness is His imputed righteousness of His life and death; that is, it is the heart of the Gospel and it is stated in the London Baptist Confession of Faith of 1689.
No human mind could invent the Gospel.  The Gospel is received by the empty hands of grace and faith; that is, man would try to add something to it like works; however, there are no works to be added except the work of Christ alone; that is, it is in His life and death alone that we escape the judgment of God in and through and by Christ Jesus our Redeemer and Lord; however, no escape could be in the works of another, because their works are not perfect; that is, for works to be acceptable they must be perfect.  The Gospel is free and we must embrace its freeness.  The nature of the Gospel is eternal because it’s free and for always.  The Gospel is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone, but the freeness of the Gospel makes it divine.
