Some people live in hypocrisy; that is, they are one way in public and another way in secret. We ought to see the judgement hand of Christ upon them to discipline them to set them straight. Some think the Lord does not see them in their hidden life. Judgment brings exposure by a masking-wearing people. It's not the same thing to repent and renew obedience in contrast to living in sin with no repenting obedience. We ought not to excuse our sins because it can bring judgement or chastening from our Heavenly Father. Who can stand before a holy God? If we find ourselves falling into sin, run to Jesus and beg pardon. Purify your hearts and clean your hands ye double-minded! Let us not be double-minded people but live because we have been forgiven of our sins.
Acquittal only comes through the Redeemer; that is, everyone make your calling and election sure. We ought to pray for each other that are calling and election is found in Christ and that it is a sure thing. We ought to never take chances and sin against God. May we rejoice that we have a Savior that not only saves us from sin but that makes us holy through His Spirit. Amen.
