Sin's loathsomeness is disobedience against God's law; that is, it is transgression, unrighteousness, unholiness, un-uprightness, ungodliness, omission of known duty, not from faith and thought of foolishness.
Sin is disobedience against the Christian law of love; that is, to love one's neighbor as themselves. Sin is iniquity; that is, it is a twisted kind of sin. We ought to repent of twisted sin.
We ought to repent of our sins now; that is, we must judge ourselves in light of God's written commandments in His precious Word and repent where we have failed. If we have failed anywhere, God promises to forgive us because we have an Advocate with the Father. Our Advocate is our Lord and Redeemer Jesus Christ.
Let us pray. God the Father, we approach the throne of grace with complete access to You because of Your dear Son Jesus Christ. We beseech You to forgive and cleanse us from all our defilement; from all our vileness; from all our depravity; from all our sensual sin; from all our radical corruptions. Help us to live faithfully and obediently. Give us the motivation by Your grace to live out the Christian spirit with a growing love and a growing faith. May we walk as Christ walked. Sprinkle Your grace upon us through the shed blood of Jesus at the Cross that we may be abounding in every good work. Amen.
This blog web site is for the in-depth, sound and basic exegetical study of the Bible in Reformed apologetics; that is, I shall expound upon the inerrant and infallible Word of God, the Holy Scriptures. There shall be biblical studies in world religions and non-Christian cults. I also quote and research reformed writers and I am happy to study from them. May the Lord bless everyone who reads this blog with spiritual riches in Christ which is His imputed merit by faith alone.
The Son of Man came to seek and save that which was lost. It is Jesus' favorite title of Himself. I chosen this title because Jesus loved this title of Himself. We ought to never forget that Jesus is fully God and fully man: two natures in One Person. He is the God-man, the Incarnate Second Person of the Trinity. May we mediate on His life, death, burial, resurrection and ascension that we may be conformed to the image of the divine Son of Man! This blog web site will be a Christian defense of the Reformed doctrines of the Incarnate Son of Man. May all glory be to His name!
