The Son of Man came to seek and save that which was lost. It is Jesus' favorite title of Himself. I chosen this title because Jesus loved this title of Himself. We ought to never forget that Jesus is fully God and fully man: two natures in One Person. He is the God-man, the Incarnate Second Person of the Trinity. May we mediate on His life, death, burial, resurrection and ascension that we may be conformed to the image of the divine Son of Man! This blog web site will be a Christian defense of the Reformed doctrines of the Incarnate Son of Man. May all glory be to His name!

Be Example in Word and Conversation

1 Timothy 4:12 KJV:  Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

May we walk as an example to the brothers and sisters in Christ in the Christian church.  We are to be an example in word.   Are we true to our words?  Do you speak wholesome words?  Do we build up rather than tear down?  Are we an example in our words?  Do we use the words of Scripture?  Have we developed a spiritual vocabulary?

Proverbs 15:4 KJV:  A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.
1 Timothy 6:3 KJV:  If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;

We are to be an example in conversation.  In our conversations, do we use words of hate or words of love?  We should hate evil but overcome the evil with good.  We are to be upright in our conversation.  We are to fear God at all times and leave the consequences to Him.  That means we ought to do the right thing.

Psalm 37:14 KJV:  The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation.
Psalm 50:23 KJV:  Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.
Ephesians 4:22 KJV:  That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
Philippians 1:27 KJV:  Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
Philippians 3:20 KJV:  For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
Hebrews 13:5 KJV:  Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
