The Son of Man came to seek and save that which was lost. It is Jesus' favorite title of Himself. I chosen this title because Jesus loved this title of Himself. We ought to never forget that Jesus is fully God and fully man: two natures in One Person. He is the God-man, the Incarnate Second Person of the Trinity. May we mediate on His life, death, burial, resurrection and ascension that we may be conformed to the image of the divine Son of Man! This blog web site will be a Christian defense of the Reformed doctrines of the Incarnate Son of Man. May all glory be to His name!

A Biblical Presentation of the Deity of Jesus Christ

The deity of Jesus Christ means that Jesus of Nazareth is God in human flesh; that is, He is the Incarnate Second Person of the Blessed Trinity.  The Father is God, the Son is God and the Holy Spirit is God; however, there are not three gods but one God.  The Son is eternally self-existent and existed from everlasting to everlasting.  Amen.

Old Testament Evidence of the Deity of Jesus
Isaiah 9:6 KJV
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Jesus is Called Lord and God
John 20:28-29 KJV
28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

New Testament Evidence of the Deity of Jesus
John 1:1 KJV
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:14 KJV
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
John 1:18 KJV
18 No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

Jesus is Called God
Hebrews 1:8 KJV
But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
