The Son of Man came to seek and save that which was lost. It is Jesus' favorite title of Himself. I chosen this title because Jesus loved this title of Himself. We ought to never forget that Jesus is fully God and fully man: two natures in One Person. He is the God-man, the Incarnate Second Person of the Trinity. May we mediate on His life, death, burial, resurrection and ascension that we may be conformed to the image of the divine Son of Man! This blog web site will be a Christian defense of the Reformed doctrines of the Incarnate Son of Man. May all glory be to His name!

Be An Example in Charity, Faith and Purity Among Believers

1 Timothy 4:12 KJV
12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
We ought to have charity or love of faith and practice.  We ought to watch our doctrine and life closely as the Bible tells us to do.  We ought to have the charity of tenderheartedness, love, devotion, diligence, commitment and submission to Christ alone.  Do we have the charity of allegiance?

1 Corinthians 8:1
Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth.

1 Corinthians 13:1
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

1 Corinthians 13:2
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

1 Corinthians 13:3
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

1 Corinthians 13:4
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

1 Corinthians 13:8
Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

1 Corinthians 13:13
And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

1 Corinthians 14:1
Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.

1 Corinthians 16:14
Let all your things be done with charity.

Colossians 3:14
And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
We ought to have faith and have it to God alone, but we are to demonstrate our faith.  We cannot please God without faith.  Faith conquers the world, the flesh and the devil.  Faith is better than sin; faith is better then envy; faith is better than vileness; faith is better then worldly riches; and faith is better then success concerning monetary income.

Hebrews 11
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. ..
.
We are to be pure people.  Purity is abstaining from sexual evil; however, someone might struggle with sexual lust but repent afterwards.  We gain the victory over lust through our Lord Jesus.   Brothers and sisters, let us walk in all purity.
 1 Timothy 5:2
The elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity.
