The Son of Man came to seek and save that which was lost. It is Jesus' favorite title of Himself. I chosen this title because Jesus loved this title of Himself. We ought to never forget that Jesus is fully God and fully man: two natures in One Person. He is the God-man, the Incarnate Second Person of the Trinity. May we mediate on His life, death, burial, resurrection and ascension that we may be conformed to the image of the divine Son of Man! This blog web site will be a Christian defense of the Reformed doctrines of the Incarnate Son of Man. May all glory be to His name!

Forgiveness: An Act of Pardon

Forgiveness is an act of pardon.  Forgiveness means our sins are blotted out, remitted, pardoned, remembered no more and healed.  The basis of forgiveness is God's nature, God's grace, the shedding of blood at the Cross, Christ's death, the Son's power, man's repentance our forgiveness and faith in Christ.

The significance of forgiveness is that it show's God's righteousness, makes salvation real and it must be preached.  We are to forgive seven times seventy, unlimited and as God forgives.  The benefits of forgiveness is the means of our forgiveness, restored Christian fellowship and spiritual cleansing.  The examples of forgiveness are Esau and Jacob, Joseph, Moses, David, Solomon, Jesus, Stephen and Paul.
