The life and death of Christ alone is the rock and cornerstone to the Christian faith; that is, there is nothing more essential to spiritual redemption then His work as He lived and as He died; however, world religions will tell you of works of their own, but it really is a truth turned on its head; that is, although it is wrong to say that spiritual salvation is by human works it is right to say that spiritual redemption is by works alone but that of another; however, mankind twists things but it ought to be understood that it is Christ alone and His merit that avails before the Father and not our own; that is, the merit of Christ alone is what the object of our faith is in; however, if the object of our faith is in ourselves we will surely perish but if its in Christ alone there is victory. May we think of His life and death that saved you and established you on the rock by His Spirit this day!
