The Son of Man came to seek and save that which was lost. It is Jesus' favorite title of Himself. I chosen this title because Jesus loved this title of Himself. We ought to never forget that Jesus is fully God and fully man: two natures in One Person. He is the God-man, the Incarnate Second Person of the Trinity. May we mediate on His life, death, burial, resurrection and ascension that we may be conformed to the image of the divine Son of Man! This blog web site will be a Christian defense of the Reformed doctrines of the Incarnate Son of Man. May all glory be to His name!

Chapter 1:

Spiritual Fraud on Repentance: A Repugnant Stench in God’s Nostrils

There is a repentance born of man that is consistent with the flesh, because it is native to the flesh of man.  This nativeness to the flesh is the repentance of attrition, because it is born out of far of punishment.  No repentance before God is repentance if it is born out of asking for forgiveness from punishment, because it is displeasing to God.  We think of Esau, because he asked for forgiveness from the sin of attrition.   Any repentance of attrition is false repentance, because it is not according to the law of grace and repentance.  God rejects every repentance that is after attrition, because it is not contrition.  Contrition is approved repentance, because it means someone has repented in light of the knowledge that sin is an offense to God.  Every repentance that embraces that sin is an offense to God’s holiness is true repentance; however, every repentance that is attrition to a false god has no value anyway, but especially to the true God of the Bible.  Every repentance that is contrition to a false god makes it invalid, because it is to a false god; that is, every repentance that sincerely acknowledges the life and death of Christ alone as our sole standing before God is acceptable contrite repentance.
Repugnant repentance never avails before God, because it is a stench in God’s nostrils.  This means it is contrary to the law of faith, because it teaches something contrary to the Lord and His revealed will.  Spiritual fraud is a repentance unto attrition, because it embraces a false hope that is an unhoped hope.  Spiritual fraud is repentance unto contrition, because it is to a false god that is also an unhoped hope.  Confession to a priest is also spiritual fraud, because it proclaims a false forgiveness.  There is no forgiveness except through the one Mediator, Jesus Christ.  The only way forgiveness is granted is through Christ alone, but the Gospel is added to by the addition of another Christ in Romanism.
The proclaimation of the Gospel is really the true confessional proclaimed by the Reformed pastor with His hand raised, because through the power of Christ in His Gospel the saints are forgiven of their sins.  The power is in the Gospel of the five solas of the Reformation, but not in the works of satisfaction of unmerited merit.  The power of Christ is the essence of the Reformed Gospel, but the unpowered power of the Roman gospel forgives no one.  That is, it is actually adds to the unified work of Christ alone, but this does not enhance the Gospel.  To honor the Gospel is to proclaim it with clarity, but to take away from the Gospel is to add it to or subject from it.  The Roman gospel adds sin to sin in works of satisfaction, but our Lord Jesus Christ fully satisfied divine justice for His elect people.  The elect will always be forgiven, because they trust in the merits of Christ in His life and death alone.  Those that break this simple divine truth break the divine Word of God, because it is no longer grace if it is not Christ alone.  Anything that goes against the life and death of Christ alone is contrary to the Bible, because if the essence of the Gospel is denied it is lifeless.  The basis of the Gospel is the power of the life and death of Christ alone; for there is no hope of heaven without the essence of the hope of heaven; yea, even our Lord and Redeemer Jesus Christ.
There is even power taken out of the Gospel in real exorcism if the life and death of Christ alone is muddled, because a muddle gospel message establishes and furthers the ministry of false prophets by demons under Satan authenticating false prophets to continue in their ministry.  The way to never be demonically possessed is to have the Spirit of Christ in your heart, because once He dwells in you it is impossible for Satan to enter you.  This is seen by the evidences of faith and repentance, because it is what the Spirit does in giving us fruits of His pleasure according to His good pleasure.

Chapter 2:

Repentance Without God:  The Spurious Repentance of the Reprobate is the Joy of Satan but Dishonoring to the true God of Holy Writ

Repentance without God would be repentance to a false god, because this false god cannot forgive sin.  The Lord Sovereign alone forgives sin, because He is the way it is done.  The joy of Satan is like the feeling of a tormentive doom for his subjects, because when he gets you to “feel” subjective “feelings” of an unreligious religious unconviction conviction it is contrary to an objective experience validated by the Word of God.  Spiritual experience is worthless by itself unless it is validated by the written Word of God, because experience can be subjective.  Subjective experiences can led a sinner to doom if left unchanged in an untrustworthy trust, because sin immerses everything in our subjective experiences and causes our subjective experiences.  We would do well not to trust our subjective experiences.  We can tell if it is a subjective experience if it violates the law of God, but we ought to be cautious in what we think the written Word of God establishes concerning our experiences.  For example, some people have guilt where there is no reason for guilt; however, other people think they may know the moving of the Spirit.  The moving of the Spirit is be experienced, but sometimes people do not correspond it to the Word of God.  In other words, is it accompanied with the Word of God in preaching and singing?  A faith movement teacher loudly spoke of a Holy Ghost machine gun, but such would violate the Word of God’s interpretation in our experience.  A prominent Arminian preacher spoke of the power of Jesus in standing the test of getting zapped with a tazor gun, but such is a demonstration not of the power of Christ.  Some people have extrabiblical experiences where they teach the Lord in a different message then the God of the Bible; however, this different message will damn souls.   The prosperity movement is consistent with a false gospel, because it exalts man’s desire over God’s Gospel.  We are not promised to be delivered out of our sufferings, but if He is pleased through prayers according to His will He will deliver His afflicted children.  His afflicted children are delivered by the Lord, because of His good pleasure.  Satan’s happiness is really no happiness at all, but it is his self-conflicted happiness that is immersed in hell’s torment.  Every time someone dishonors God, that person honors sin and Satan.  Every time someone honors God, that person dishonors sin and Satan.  Repentance is the key to forgiveness, because it is God’s way of forgiving and cleansing us from sin.   The dishonor of God comes down to the denial of the basics of the Christian faith, because in these basics are the spiritual source of heavenly treasure.  Treasure is honorable, because that is its nature.  This treasure should not be used so that grace may abound from more sin, but it should be used so that grace is unto holiness.  Grace unto holiness is contrary to grace unto lawlessness, but grace unto holiness is key to the love of the Gospel of His divine righteousness in His life and death alone.

Chapter 3:        Another Repentance: “Repentance” Without The Gift

It is scary to see religious people so confident of their scheme, because there is another repentance that is not a true repentance.  This repentance is contrary to asking for forgiveness, because of offending His holiness.  There is repentance without the gift, because it is of attrition.  There is repentance without the gift, because there is repentance to a false god.  False gods have existed the movement Satan fell, but he is not a true god.  There is only one God, because He is seen as three distinct persons in one essence, unity or nature.  Repentance is only because of the gift of the Spirit according to grace, because divine grace is the essence of the Spirit’s work in the life and death of Christ alone.  The gifts of the Spirit are grace, faith and repentance, because grace fits in the hand of all of these things.  There is repentance from the Spirit’s work in spiritual awakening or quickening, because He gives us this as a love gift without our cooperation.  After the Spirit works in us, He does this through His divine grace in the power of Christ.  He comes with the gifts of faith and repentance, because it is our Lord’s command to obey His divine teachings.  Repentance is a command by our Great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, but He alone in His all-sufficient merit saves to the uttermost that that draw nigh unto Him.  There is repentance without gift, because this repentance without the gift is a distortion by the nature of man and Satan.  We are called beware such false repentance, because we are called with minds of discernment.

Chapter 4:        Mock Repentance:  Deceitful Mischievousness

There is a mock repentance in that it teaches us that there is a repentance that is a direct pretend repentance, because it is a repentance that is not real.  This repentance is a fake repentance even by those who engage in it, because it is a self-aware thing of carelessness.  It is a false repentance, because it is a careless repentance.  Going through the motions is a sign of insincerity, because insincerity is a war we must all battle within ourselves.  There is insincerity that claims sincerity, because many religious people do not possess true sincere repentance.  It is a deceitful mischievousness, because it is a mock repentance.

Chapter 5:        Freely Died, Freely Repent

The Lord Jesus Christ freely, because He volitionally laid His life for His people.  That is, free repentance is from His free death.  The only spiritual success is through the life and death of Christ alone, because it is the repentance that is free through His free life and death.  The freedom of Christ was to lay down His life, because He did it to save His people.  The spiritual salvation of His people is only treasured by God through His Son, because His Son teaches us to freely repent.  We are called to freely repent, because Jesus freely died.  We are called to die to sin, but we are called to live to God.  If we live in the grace and peace of Christ, we will remember the Gospel of His free death and the instrument of faithful repentance.  We must treasure the Gospel of His free death, because His free death is the all-satisfactions of all-satisfactions in fully satisfaction the Father’s wrath.

Chapter 6:        Spiritual Scourging:  Away With Titling Ears!

There is a wrath of God coming!  Behold the spiritual scourging of titling ears!  There is a message that is not a message, because it is a message devoid of the divine truth of Christ.  There is a message that is a message, because it is a message that embraces the divine truth of Christ.  There is a blessing that is not a blessing, because it is a blessing that is not about Jesus Christ.  There is a blessing that is a blessing, because it is a blessing that is about Jesus Christ.  No one should embrace titling ears, because we would be like Cain in a self-delusion about hating righteous deeds.  No one should embrace titling ears, because we would be like Esau in an attrition type of repentance and who sold his birthright for food.  No one should embrace titling ears, because we would be like Saul in consulting a medium.  No one should embrace titling ears, because we would be like Eli’s sons and never be rebuked.  No one should embrace titling ears, because we would be like Judas who betrayed innocent blood.  Do we have time to mention Diotrephes, Alexander the Coppersmith and Nero?  Surely all of these men gained an unlawful preeminence!  Beware of the positions of men, because Alexander rewarded Saint Paul with much evil.  Beware of Nero, because through his evil he was worshipped as a false god.  Many today throw out the believers in Christ, reward His people evil and are venerated by people.  Turn away unto the Lord!

Chapter 7:        Sinned in Darkness, Exposed in Light

The sin of darkness is the sin that keeps his or her sins without confession of sin, because the sin is not exposed by the light of Christ.  The light of Christ is His Gospel, because it is the essence of the Gospel.  The light of the Gospel is not a covering of our sins, but a confession of our sins.  The confession of our sins teaches us about the life and death of Christ alone, because the confession of sins through Him who was is and forever shall be.  The darkness of sin is not found in the self-existent blameless Son of God, because only He is the One who is able to take away sin.  The light of Christ is through the power of His awesome resurrection; for it is the essence of the Gospel.  Don’t hide in the dark, but let the light of His Cross shine through the darkness this day!

Chapter 8:        Time and Sin:  The Plague Flourishes Onward

The time and sin of God’s people is the key to engaging in faithful repentance, because it is about the location of general and particular sins.  The plague flourishes without a location of sin, because it is a cancer to the people.  The plague cannot be stopped in Jesus’ command, “stop sinning lest a worse then come upon thee.”  We must learn to locate our sin, because it is crucial to faithful repentance.  Petillo’s book “Turn Away To The Lord” refers to particular sin to repent of, because it is crucial to our Lord’s divine command.  Is the divine fire kindled in your heart this day?

Chapter 9:        Run On For A Long Time

There is an old Gospel hymn about running with sin in the professed life of a Christian, but profession never saved anyone.  We must learn that possession of Christ saves us, but we have this by the Spirit of God and the Word of God.  We do not want to run on for a long time in sin, because it is contrary to the law of God.  We want to live in light of the Gospel, because if we do we will love the holiness of the Gospel.  The holiness of the Gospel is key, because we will not live a long time in sin.  Beware of running on for a long time in sin!  Repent and believe the Gospel!

Chapter 10:      The “I am good” Argument

The “I am good” argument is contrary to the law of God, because the law of God teaches us about our total depravity, our wretchedness, our unrighteousness, our malice evil, our wickedness, our high sin, our idolatry, our strife, our rebellion, our fear, our ungodliness, our unholiness, our sexual sin, our vileness, our spiritual depression and inability.  The “I am good” argument fails at every level, because it teaches us that only God is good in the ultimate sense; however, there is no confidence in our flesh in light of the good law of God.  Amen.
