The Son of Man came to seek and save that which was lost. It is Jesus' favorite title of Himself. I chosen this title because Jesus loved this title of Himself. We ought to never forget that Jesus is fully God and fully man: two natures in One Person. He is the God-man, the Incarnate Second Person of the Trinity. May we mediate on His life, death, burial, resurrection and ascension that we may be conformed to the image of the divine Son of Man! This blog web site will be a Christian defense of the Reformed doctrines of the Incarnate Son of Man. May all glory be to His name!

The "Never" Statements in the Divine Scriptures

We learn in the book of Hebrews that God never leaves us nor forsakes us:

Hebrews 13:5 KJV
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

If God knows you that means He will never forsake you, but if you live in self-deception He does not know you because you are a worker of iniquity but only God knows the heart:

Matthew 7:23 KJV
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

We must understand for grace to be put in its proper place that it is stronger enough to keep us from falling away in an utter sense.  We know that God does not take His free Spirit away from us but He keeps us close to Him by his keeping and preserving grace.

Let us not live in self-deception but in a good conscience before God and man.  Amen.
