The Son of Man came to seek and save that which was lost. It is Jesus' favorite title of Himself. I chosen this title because Jesus loved this title of Himself. We ought to never forget that Jesus is fully God and fully man: two natures in One Person. He is the God-man, the Incarnate Second Person of the Trinity. May we mediate on His life, death, burial, resurrection and ascension that we may be conformed to the image of the divine Son of Man! Jesus Chose Us Before We Chose Him

Jesus Christ chose us in Him before time.  We did not chose Him but He first chose us.  We may fall into sin but Jesus is there ready to forgive.  We ought to never give up.   We ought to stand by Jesus in the gospel.  The simplicity of the gospel is that Jesus chose us first because we had moral inability to choose Him. Here is the gospel Scriptures,
 
John 13:18 
I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me hath lifted up his heel against me. 
John 15:16 
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. 
John 15:19 
If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
