Below are verses on the sinlessness of the Lamb of God. It means Jesus could not sin inwardly. He was free from original sin and actual transgressions.
1 Peter 1:19 KJV
But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
John 8:46 KJV
Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?
Jesus died for our sins on the Cross. He was the perfect substitute. He became sin that we might be the righteousness of God in Him. However, I do not think it means Jesus became an actual transgressor on the Cross. The sin was applied to Him and that means He bore the weight of the sin of His people. He paid their debt in full. I believe my debt of sin was applied to Christ at Calvery. He bore my punishment in my place and everyone else that He chose to die in their place. If we take part in the Eucharist, we could reflect on the divine truth of God that Jesus died for us.
This blog web site is for the in-depth, sound and basic exegetical study of the Bible in Reformed apologetics; that is, I shall expound upon the inerrant and infallible Word of God, the Holy Scriptures. There shall be biblical studies in world religions and non-Christian cults. I also quote and research reformed writers and I am happy to study from them. May the Lord bless everyone who reads this blog with spiritual riches in Christ which is His imputed merit by faith alone.
The Son of Man came to seek and save that which was lost. It is Jesus' favorite title of Himself. I chosen this title because Jesus loved this title of Himself. We ought to never forget that Jesus is fully God and fully man: two natures in One Person. He is the God-man, the Incarnate Second Person of the Trinity. May we mediate on His life, death, burial, resurrection and ascension that we may be conformed to the image of the divine Son of Man! This blog web site will be a Christian defense of the Reformed doctrines of the Incarnate Son of Man. May all glory be to His name!
