We will sin in the Christian life because we are sinners. We have a sin nature and it is apart of the Christian life to sin but in a legal sense we are dead to sin and alive to Christ.
We already have the victory over sin, death and hell because of Jesus! However, this does not mean we do not sin; that is, we will keep sinning until we are in glory but this does not mean we should indulge sin.
There are many who teach a "victory understanding" of the Christian life as if we don't ever sin or couldn't ever sin; however, this is contrary to the Bible. The Bible teaches that we will sin but that we continue to repent of our sins through Jesus' shed blood. This gives us the victory over sin and death and hell. If we sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus our righteousness.
We ought to live holy lives in a surrendering and submission to Jesus. We ought to be godly people and upright people in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior.
This blog web site is for the in-depth, sound and basic exegetical study of the Bible in Reformed apologetics; that is, I shall expound upon the inerrant and infallible Word of God, the Holy Scriptures. There shall be biblical studies in world religions and non-Christian cults. I also quote and research reformed writers and I am happy to study from them. May the Lord bless everyone who reads this blog with spiritual riches in Christ which is His imputed merit by faith alone.
The Son of Man came to seek and save that which was lost. It is Jesus' favorite title of Himself. I chosen this title because Jesus loved this title of Himself. We ought to never forget that Jesus is fully God and fully man: two natures in One Person. He is the God-man, the Incarnate Second Person of the Trinity. May we mediate on His life, death, burial, resurrection and ascension that we may be conformed to the image of the divine Son of Man! This blog web site will be a Christian defense of the Reformed doctrines of the Incarnate Son of Man. May all glory be to His name!
