The Son of Man came to seek and save that which was lost. It is Jesus' favorite title of Himself. I chosen this title because Jesus loved this title of Himself. We ought to never forget that Jesus is fully God and fully man: two natures in One Person. He is the God-man, the Incarnate Second Person of the Trinity. May we mediate on His life, death, burial, resurrection and ascension that we may be conformed to the image of the divine Son of Man! Christ Alone and Other Works

Do we need good works to enter heaven?  There is a work provided for us and it is in Christ alone.  We need the work of Christ alone to save us.  We need to understand we are saved by the unified work of Christ alone.  That is, His life, death and resurrection.  The resurrection confirms that His life and death are authentic (Acts 4:12).

Rome says that the Roman Church is necessary for spiritual salvation (CCC 846) and she speaks of a cleansing fire in purgatory and temporal punishment.  We know that the blood of Jesus Christ expiates all our sin (Romans 3:25).  We need the work of Christ alone and not our deeply and profoundly imperfect works.
