The Son of Man came to seek and save that which was lost. It is Jesus' favorite title of Himself. I chosen this title because Jesus loved this title of Himself. We ought to never forget that Jesus is fully God and fully man: two natures in One Person. He is the God-man, the Incarnate Second Person of the Trinity. May we mediate on His life, death, burial, resurrection and ascension that we may be conformed to the image of the divine Son of Man! This blog web site will be a Christian defense of the Reformed doctrines of the Incarnate Son of Man. May all glory be to His name!

Is Mary our Advocate, Helper, Benefactress, and Mediatrix?

Here what the Roman Church teaches,
969 "This motherhood of Mary in the order of grace continues uninterruptedly from the consent which she loyally gave at the Annunciation and which she sustained without wavering beneath the cross, until the eternal fulfillment of all the elect. Taken up to heaven she did not lay aside this saving office but by her manifold intercession continues to bring us the gifts of eternal salvation. . . . Therefore the Blessed Virgin is invoked in the Church under the titles of Advocate, Helper, Benefactress, and Mediatrix."
The Bible does not teach this; that is, the above is personal insight rather than biblical truth based on the written Scriptures.   Mary is not our Advocate, Helper, Benefactress, and Mediatrix!  The Bible says that Jesus Christ is our Advocate and Mediator, but also that the Spirit of God is our Advocate.  Here are some quotations from the Bible,

"My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous..."  (1 John 2:1 KJV).

"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus..." (1 Timothy 2:5 KJV).

Here is how the Holy Spirit is described by Jesus Himself,
John 14:26
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.
