The Son of Man came to seek and save that which was lost. It is Jesus' favorite title of Himself. I chosen this title because Jesus loved this title of Himself. We ought to never forget that Jesus is fully God and fully man: two natures in One Person. He is the God-man, the Incarnate Second Person of the Trinity. May we mediate on His life, death, burial, resurrection and ascension that we may be conformed to the image of the divine Son of Man! This blog web site will be a Christian defense of the Reformed doctrines of the Incarnate Son of Man. May all glory be to His name!

Heaven or Hell: Forgiveness of Sin

The Bible speaks of forgiveness (John 3:16), eternal life (John 11:25), hope (Proverbs 14:32), joy (John 15:11) and peace (John 14:27).  It also speaks of repentance and faith (Luke 13:5) and the coming judgment (Ezekiel 22:14).  The Bible speaks of the wicked forsaking his way and his thoughts and to return to the LORD and He will abundantly pardon.  It speaks of coming unto the LORD and we will find rest.   The Bible speaks of the wicked being driven away in his wickedness, but the righteous has hope in his death.  There is a way that seems right to a man but in the end it leads to death.  The Bible speaks of forsaking our sin and being the Lord’s disciple.  We ought to have faith because faith is our union with God through Jesus Christ by His Spirit.  The smallest faith is acceptable to God but we ought to grow in faith.  We can only enter heaven if we have been born again.  The Bible speaks of being born again before we make a decision for Christ and have an interest in the things of God.  Having faith is evidence of the Spirit’s work and having an interest in the things of God is also evidence of His work.  We are forgiven the moment we trust God through Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins.
