The Son of Man came to seek and save that which was lost. It is Jesus' favorite title of Himself. I chosen this title because Jesus loved this title of Himself. We ought to never forget that Jesus is fully God and fully man: two natures in One Person. He is the God-man, the Incarnate Second Person of the Trinity. May we mediate on His life, death, burial, resurrection and ascension that we may be conformed to the image of the divine Son of Man! This blog web site will be a Christian defense of the Reformed doctrines of the Incarnate Son of Man. May all glory be to His name!

The Necessity of the Divine Lamb of God: A Basic Study of Mt 12:38-50, Pt 3

6.  The divine Lamb is the only way to be right with God.  I suggest to you that there is no other way to be at peace with God than through our Lord and Redeemer Jesus Christ.  We ought to trust the living and active Scriptures to guide as to how to understand how we are right with God.  We are not right with God through rituals or forms but through Jesus our Lord alone.  There is no way that man-centered theology can make someone right with God.  There is no way that the mere saying of a creed or confession can make someone right with God.  We must have Jesus in our spiritual blood stream.  We must have Jesus in the center and core of our make-up or being.  He is the Way, the Truth and the Life alone!  No other intercessor would help us because all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.  There is none that are righteous; there is none that is good and there is none that is meritorious.  However, religious people think they can be right with God through ceremony.  I suggest to you that no mere ceremony can make us right with God.  It is wholly devoid of spiritual life and meritorious worth.  Jesus was truly delivered from death by His bodily resurrection.  I suggest to you that only God Incarnate could rise from the dead!  None else could rise from the dead except that Person who was God in human flesh.  The Word became flesh and dwelt among us!  God the Son became man, lived, suffered and rose again.  He is not merely the greatest Man that ever lived but God in human flesh.  This is why it is the necessity of the divine Lamb of God.  We could not have spiritually succeeded without Him.  Without Jesus, we are totally left in bondage.  Without Jesus, we are spiritually mute and deaf to everything that is holy.  He gives us the breath of God that makes us alive.  Someone greater than Jonah lived in Israel.  I suggest to you that His name was JESUS CHRIST!  Jonah was eaten by the fish but was left in the sea monster's belly for three days; however, Jesus was left in the earth for three days but He rose again and eat fish after His bodily resurrection.  He conquered all things through His awesome resurrection.

7.  The Jewish leaders of the day of Jesus had His divine testimony to repent and believe the gospel through Him alone; however, the Ninevites only had the sinner's proclamation of repentance through a rebellious prophet named Jonah.  The Jews were God's chosen nation but the Ninevites were a pagan nation; however, the Ninevites repent but later rebelled under the preaching of Nahum.  The Jews had the Divine Son of God preached to them but the Ninevites only had Jonah to preach to them.  The pagan heathen people had a wandering prophet to proclaim the gospel but the Jews had God in human flesh but rejected it.  There is great judgment and condemnation for the Jews because they rejected Jesus but the Ninevites (the pagan nation) rejected judgment for themselves and accepted the good news of Jonah.  Religious people think they are right with God for the wrong reasons.   Religious people think they are peace with God for wrong reasons.  The Jew or Muslim who repents to their particular "god" will never know the spiritual riches of knowing God the Father through His precious Son; however, the Spirit could spiritually change anyone at His good pleasure, but sometimes it takes time for God to move and save souls.  But the Day of Salvation is today and it is not tomorrow.  That is, the day to believe is now.  We ought to believe the gospel of God because it is reasonably true and spiritually sound.  Everyone who rejects the gospel of God is accountable to God for what they have done.  It is so precious!  It is so real!  It is so breathtaking!  It is so awesome!  Behold, Jesus our Lord and Savior who takes away our sin and nails it to the Cross!  Amen!  Indeed!

8.  We ought to spiritually understand that morality is not enough to be right with God.  Why?  Morality is polluted human righteousness that cannot save anyone.  However, we ought to be moral people, but we see occultic people involved in heavy immorality.  We ought to never engage in immorality, because it is harmful to body and soul.  May everyone live according to purity!  I suggest to you that morality is a kind of civil righteousness according to the flesh but the divine righteousness of Jesus is according to the Spirit.  There are some people who forsake God because they are moral.  They think it is good enough to stand before a thrice holy God.  I suggest to you that it is not good enough to stand before a holy God.  It is worthless and corrupt!  Nothing in all creation compares to the divine righteousness of Christ alone.  Some moral people do not believe they are sinners.  However, the Bible says that everyone is a sinner except the Three Persons in the Triune Godhead.  All have fallen short of the glory of God.  I suggest to you that you need a Savior and His name is Jesus Christ!  There is none who can deal with your sin like Jesus.  He lived and earned your salvation by His perfect life, and He nailed your sins to the Cross.  I suggest to you that moral reformations are worthless without divine and sacred and holy grace.  Scripture-born grace is the centrality of a changed life.  Word-born grace is what changes the spiritual heart of man.  That is, we need a heart transplant in our souls.  The OT speaks of a spiritual heart of flesh but the NT speaks of being born again.  They are harmonious teachings that speak of a radical change of condition that speaks to a spiritual heart of man by His Spirit and Word.  Demons have hearts of stone and evil, but true Christians have hearts of life and peace.  Moral transformation makes us depend more on self but heart transformation by God through His Spirit and Word make us depend upon Him alone.  There is no hope in self-help programs that speak of radical change.  There is no hope in mere moral reformation.  Reformation in itself is a pursuit of self-righteousness.  We must be righteous but that which is righteous can only come from Christ alone.  There is none who is righteous in and of themselves.  We need Jesus' righteousness because it is pure!  Yes, it is divine!  There is no other divine righteousness than Jesus Christ.  The only hope we have is that the Spirit of Christ bring us to Jesus in saving faith!  The written Word also says that the Spirit of God is our Intercessor or Advocate or Helper or Counselor or Comforter.  He can bring us to Jesus because He saves us in spiritual rebirth.  Only Jesus Christ can give spiritual redemption to a lost soul!  Only Jesus Christ can spiritually pardon a sinner!  No one, such as, Mary or the saints can forgive sin, but Jesus alone.  We have one mediator and His name is Jesus Christ!  He is able to save and deliver.  Amen and amen and amen.
