The Son of Man came to seek and save that which was lost. It is Jesus' favorite title of Himself. I chosen this title because Jesus loved this title of Himself. We ought to never forget that Jesus is fully God and fully man: two natures in One Person. He is the God-man, the Incarnate Second Person of the Trinity. May we mediate on His life, death, burial, resurrection and ascension that we may be conformed to the image of the divine Son of Man! This blog web site will be a Christian defense of the Reformed doctrines of the Incarnate Son of Man. May all glory be to His name!

Have You Been Born Again? Do You Keep Short Accounts With God?, Part 8

Do you keep a short account with God regarding sin in your life?  That is, do you repent continually of your present sin or do you let it slip from you?  We are called to repent of our sin the moment it happens.  Mark 1:15 speaks of faithful repentance before God through Christ by His sheer grace.  Repentance and faith are evidences of being born again or born from above.  It is the work of the Spirit and the Word to make us repent by His awesome grace.  We ought to keep short accounts with our Lord and Savior.  We ought to do this because we would do well to have all sin under His blood through confession of sin to God.  All sin, however, is forgiven in terms of our past, present and future sins, but we are called and commanded to repent of our sins, transgressions and iniquities.  We ought to be a obedient to God in repentance of our present sin.  There is no sin that defeats repentance and there is no damnation that touches a sinner when he or she repents.  We ought to praise God that He has made a way for us to ask for forgiveness which is through His loving-kindnesses.  It is good to keep short accounts with God of our sin and He always forgives His people that are in Christ our Lord and Redeemer.  May you find sin in your life and bring it before the Lord to repent of it.  God bless you as you seek His will.  Amen.
