The Son of Man came to seek and save that which was lost. It is Jesus' favorite title of Himself. I chosen this title because Jesus loved this title of Himself. We ought to never forget that Jesus is fully God and fully man: two natures in One Person. He is the God-man, the Incarnate Second Person of the Trinity. May we mediate on His life, death, burial, resurrection and ascension that we may be conformed to the image of the divine Son of Man! This blog web site will be a Christian defense of the Reformed doctrines of the Incarnate Son of Man. May all glory be to His name!

Jesus' Blood and Righteousness

Let us mediate on the blood and righteousness of Christ alone.  There is no Savior like Jesus Christ; that is, He is strong to save to the uttermost.  He can save the vilest wretch ever and the person who is most deceived.  Will you come to Him today?  Will you bow the knees to the Incarnate King Eternal?   Jesus proclaims the gospel of free mercy, grace, love and forgiveness through Himself to the Father.  Jesus proclaims His awesome blood and righteousness.  We ought to worship and praise Him this day!  No one is greater than Jesus Christ and no one is a Friend like Jesus Christ.  We must come to Him with contrite hearts and surrender all to Him because He is the Master of our souls.  Amen.

Jesus, thy blood and righteousness
My beauty are, my glorious dress;
'Midst flaming worlds, in these arrayed,
With joy shall I lift up my head.

Bold shall I stand in thy great day;
For who aught to my charge shall lay?
Fully absolved through these I am
From sin and fear, from guilt and shame.

When from the dust of death I rise
To claim my mansion in the skies,
Ev'n then this shall be all my plea,
Jesus hath lived, hath died, for me.

Jesus, be endless praise to thee,
Whose boundless mercy hath for me—
For me a full atonement made,
An everlasting ransom paid.

O let the dead now hear thy voice;
Now bid thy banished ones rejoice;
Their beauty this, their glorious dress,
Jesus, thy blood and righteousness.
