The Son of Man came to seek and save that which was lost. It is Jesus' favorite title of Himself. I chosen this title because Jesus loved this title of Himself. We ought to never forget that Jesus is fully God and fully man: two natures in One Person. He is the God-man, the Incarnate Second Person of the Trinity. May we mediate on His life, death, burial, resurrection and ascension that we may be conformed to the image of the divine Son of Man! This blog web site will be a Christian defense of the Reformed doctrines of the Incarnate Son of Man. May all glory be to His name!

Is "Christ" a title for Jesus?

In Masonry, Christ is not a title for Jesus of Nazareth.  They teach that Christ is a higher consciousness that resides in all mankind.  They teach that "Christ-consciousness" can be achieved through Freemasonry.  Here is a quotation from their masonic literature,
"'[I]n deifying Jesus, the whole humanity is bereft of Christos as an eternal potency within every human soul, a latent (embryonic) Christ in every man.  In this deifying one man, they have orphaned the whole humanity [of its divinity]" (R. Swineburne Clymer, The Mysticism of Masonry, p. 47).
We must realize by the Spirit of grace and the Word of grace that Jesus Christ is nothing but God Incarnate; that is, He is Jehovah God in human flesh.  It is true that Jesus alone is God in human flesh, but this is not a bad thing; that is, can you think of a sinner being god?  It would be the worse thing ever.  No, the sinless Christ alone is the God-man (Revelation 1ff).
